Come discover Cetina River by canoe. Here you will find some of the finest canoeing in Croatia. Cetina River is excellent for the first-timers or group trips because of its quiet parts and rapids that alternate on your three-hour journey. Canoe trip on Cetina river can be one of the most relaxing, healthiest and most enjoyable ways to spend a few hours or a full weekend! If arranged, the trip can be fulfilled with a barbeque lunch or dinner on a meadow by the river (additional payment).

Tour summary

Distance from start to finish: 11.000 meters
Altitude distance from start to finish: 31 meters
River temperature: Between 15°C and 17°C. It depends on the season.
White water grade: Grade 2 (the grading scale goes from 1 to 6)
Swimming: You can swim at a few of the stops during the trip.
Equipment & Staff: All equipment used is registered and certified at the EU. All customers must wear Personal Flotation Devices (PFD) and helmets at all times while on the river. All of our professional guides are registered at Croatian mountain rescue service. Staff members speak Croatian and English.
Fitness Level: A minimum level of fitness is required.
Previous experience: Not necessary.
Age: Minimum age is 8 years.
Number of people per day: Minimum of 2 and a maximum of 50.
Availability: Every day from the 1st of April to the end of November. This trip runs if there are 2 or more people. E-mail us regarding dates and tell us the number of people in your group. We will inform you about the dates available.
Starts from: Village Zadvarje
Canoeing tour/departure times: Between 10 AM and 11 AM (or as agreed for each group).
Duration of the tour: 3 – 3.30h

Special Conditions: The operator has the right to cancel tours, without notice at their discretion depending on the weather or river conditions. All safety instructions from Adventure Dalmatia’s staff must be adhered to.
Duration of the transfer: 45 min – one-way (50 km from Split)

At RIVA in front of the entrance to the substructure of the Diocletian’s palace:

26.08. – 15.04. at 10 AM

Transfer can be organised from other places and at other times upon agreement.

Meeting time at 10am in the village Blato na Cetini or upon agreement.

Drive to meeting point – Blato na Cetini village

By car from Split: Exit Split and go north towards highway A1 – DUGOPOLJE entrance.

Enter the highway in the direction of DUBROVNIK then drive 30 km to Exit Blato na Cetini and after payment drive 200 meters then turn right and drive 2 km to the Cetina river bridge situated in the village.

Drive across the bridge and after 100 meters on crossroad turn left, drive 250 meters and turn left on a first small road to Cetina river beach. Meet us at the beach.

Who can go on a trip? Do I need to be especially physically fit and young? What is the minimum age?

Anyone in general good health and fitness can go on a trip. That doesn’t mean a man has to be in great shape.
The minimum age of a child for class II / III is 8 years. There is no maximum age, although everyone over the age of 60 should be in good health and consult a doctor in case of doubt. If you are pregnant, we do not recommend participation.

Do I have to know how to swim?

All guests of the Adventure Dalmatia agency must wear our life jackets (PFD – personal floating device). If you fall out of the boat, the PFD is designed to allow you to float face up in the water. Before you get into the boat, our guides will hold a detailed safety interview and show you how to “swim” properly quickly, even if you are not a swimmer. If you follow the safety instructions and procedure, you should be fine.

What is the temperature of the river?

The average temperature of the river is 15-16 ° C. The water flows approximately 8-10 m3 / s.

Do I need experience?

Experience is not required for Class II / III rapids.

What is included in the price?

Basic equipment consists of a boat, oars, helmet, life jacket. Depending on the season, guests can use neoprene shorts or long neoprene suits and neoprene boots. During the summer it is enough to bring a bathing suit and a dry cover.

What should I take with me? Can I bring (sunglasses) with me?

You should bring a bathing suit, a towel, change of clothes after the trip and 0.5L of water. We also suggest sunscreen. Consumption of alcohol before or during the trip is strictly prohibited.
You can bring (sunglasses), but be sure to tie them.

Is food included in the price?

Meals are not included. The trip ends on a meadow with a restaurant where you can stay for lunch. In this case, inform your guide at the beginning of the event or when booking the activity. The price range in the restaurant is 12 € -15 € per person for the standard tourist menu (barbecue).
