Rafting on Cetina river is suitable for beginners and can be also enjoyed by experienced adventurers. Before the tour, you will be informed about all the safety measures and will receive safety equipment, life vests, and helmets. Depending on the season, you will be provided with a short or long wetsuit or wind jacket.

Split Adventure organizes daily departures for Rafting on Cetina river from Split city center and Zadvarje village.

Tour summary

Distance from start to finish: 11.000 meters
Altitude distance from start to finish: 31 meters
River temperature: Between 14°C and 17°C. It depends on the season.
White water grade: Grade 2, elements of grade 3 (the grading scale goes from 1 to 6).
Swimming: You can swim at few of the stops during the trip.
Fitness Level: Minimum.
Previous experience: Not necessary.
Age: Minimum age is 8 years.
Guide to participants ratio: 1 : 8
Number of people per day: Minimum of 2 and a Maximum of 100 or as agreed for bigger groups.
Availability: Every day from 1st of April to the end of November. This trip runs if there are 2 or more people. E-mail us regarding dates and tell us the number of people in your group. We will inform you about dates available.
Starts from: Village Zadvarje
Rafting tour/departure times: Between 10 and 11 AM (or as agreed for each group).
Duration of tour: 3.00 – 3.30 h

Additional info

Equipment & Staff: All equipment used is registered and certified at the EU. All customers must wear Personal Flotation Devices (PFD) and helmets at all times while on the river. All of our professional guides are registered at Croatian mountain rescue service. Our tour leaders are IRF (International rafting federation) certified. Staff members speak Croatian and English.
Special Conditions: The operator has the right to cancel tours, without notice, at their discretion depending on the weather or river conditions. All safety instructions from Adventure Dalmatia’s staff must be adhered to.
Organized transfers: Every day from Split.
Duration of transfer: 45 min – one-way (50 km from Split) or 30 min – one-way (25 km from Makarska)

You can find two small shops in Zadvarje and two restaurants with domestic food and coffee. You can have whole lunch for 8 to 14 Euros.

Onsite facilities

Toilets are available at the finish of the trip. There are no toilet facilities available during the rafting trip.

Inflatable boats, neoprene pants and jacket, life-jacket, helmet and a paddle.

SHOW DIRECTIONS

Meeting time at 10am in the village Blato na Cetini or upon agreement.

Drive to meeting point – Blato na Cetini village

By car from Split: Exit Split and go north towards highway A1 – DUGOPOLJE entrance.

Enter the highway in the direction of DUBROVNIK then drive 30 km to Exit Blato na Cetini and after payment drive 200 meters then turn right and drive 2 km to the Cetina river bridge situated in the village.

Drive across the bridge and after 100 meters on crossroad turn left, drive 250 meters and turn left on a first small road to Cetina river beach. Meet us at the beach

Who can go rafting? Do I need to be fit and young to go rafting? What is the minimum age?

Anyone in reasonable health and fitness can go rafting. This does not mean one has to be in a great fitness shape.
The minimum age for a child on a Class II/III is 8 years. There is no maximum age although anyone over 60 should be in good health and perhaps consult with a physician if you have any concerns. If you are pregnant we do not suggest rafting trip.

Do I have to know how to swim?

All Adventure Dalmatia guests must wear our Personal Flotation Devices (aka PFDs or life jackets). Should you fall out of your raft, the PFD is designed to float you face up in the water. Before you get into your raft, however, our guides will give a detailed safety talk and show you how to properly “swim” a rapid so even if you are not a swimmer and you pay attention to safety instructions and procedure, you should be fine.

What is the temperature of the river?

The average temperature of the river is 15-16 ° C. The water flows approximately 8-10 m3 / s.

Do I need experience?

Experience is not necessary for this Class II/III rafting trip.

What is included in the price?

Basic equipment consists of a raft, paddle, helmet, PFD. Depending on the season, guests are provided with short neoprene pants or long neoprene suit and neoprene boots. During summer swimming suit is enough along with the basic equipment.

What should I take with me? Can I bring (sunglasses) with me?

You should bring a bathing suit, a towel, change of clothes after the trip and 0.5L of water. We also suggest sunscreen. Consumption of alcohol before or during the trip is strictly prohibited.
You can bring (sunglasses), but be sure to tie them.

Is food included in the price?

Meals are not included. The trip ends on a meadow with a restaurant where you can stay for lunch. In this case, inform your guide at the beginning of the event or when booking the activity. The price range in the restaurant is 12 € -15 € per person for the standard tourist menu (barbecue).
